Credit Note Entry

Credit notes are issued to circulation agents for many reasons. Most of the time is it due to missing or unsold copies. The credit notes for this can be used using this menu command. To prepare credit note give menu command Credit Note Entry . Data Entry window shown here will open. Credit note can only be issued when a corresponding entry of dispatch exists for that day in the DDS. To start making the entry first open the list of agents by clicking the command button marked Find . Select the name of agent from this list and press command button marked OK or double click the agent's name in the grid. Agent name and address will be filled in the grid. Select the edition for which you are creating this credit note. It is required credit notes are prepared one for each publication edition.
Now type the date, no of unsold copies, no. of missing copies etc. The total of missing and unsold copies should be less than or equal to the copies dispatched on that day as per the DDS. If is not so then you will get a warning message. Waste rate per copy is shown by default. You can make entry for another day by pressing Enter key that will add another blank row. When you have finished making entry press command button marked New Memo if you want to create another memo or press command button marked Close if you want to finish making credit notes and close the window.
To print this credit note press command button marked Print.
