Writer's Honorarium

Honorarium paid to writer's for their published articles can be entered here. It records information of the writer, title of the article published and amount paid etc.
Add New Honorarium
To add new record press command button Add Record . The various data field of the record will become empty so that you can enter a new record and heading of this command button will be changed as Update Record .
The various details can be typed in the text boxes which are labeled accordingly. These data fields or text boxes are bound to the Data Control linked to publication information database. As you will click one of the four buttons on the data control you will see the text displayed in the bound text boxes change accordingly.
To move from one text box / field to another use Tab and Shift Tab keys help you to move upward direction on the keyboard or use mouse.
When you have finished entering the record then press command button Update Record. A message will be displayed " Do You Want to Save The Current Record ?", press lquote Yes' to save the entered record or press No to abort. You can enter another record or do something else. To save your record automatically Tick check box Save All Changes Automatically.
To add another record again press command button Add and follow the above steps. To close agent's category record press command button Close.
Editing a Honorarium Record
If any information is changing then these changes can be made in the record. Scroll through the data control to find record of the agent to be edited. For editing the selected record using command button Edit Record , the heading of EDIT command button will be changed to Update Record . After you have finished editing, press command button Update Record. To save your record automatically Tick check box Save All Changes Automatically. If you have not done so you will get following messages : " Do You Want to save The Current Record ? ". If you want to save the record then answer Yes to the above message.
When you have finished editing the record you can edit another by again pressing Edit Record and follow above steps.
Delete a Honorarium Record
Scroll through the data control to find record of the amount paid to be deleted. Once the record you want to delete is displayed then press command button Delete record. You will get a message to confirm that you want to delete the record. Answer "yes" to delete the record. Be careful while deleting the records. Deleting record can not be undone.
Finding Honorarium Information

Agents record could be searched through criteria : Publication date, title and writer's name by selecting one of then option buttons named: Pub Date, Title, Name . You can specify one of them to search for in the text box given below. You can also specify a part of the any option. Press command button Find First |< to find first record matching the pattern. Press command button Find Next > to find next record matching the pattern. Press command button Find Previous < to find previous record matching the pattern. Press command button Find Last >| to find last record the matching the pattern. As you press these buttons the information displayed in text boxes bound to Data Control will change. If there are more than one record matching the pattern then you can scroll through all of them by using commands repeatedly.
If you are familiar with MS SQL used with MS Access you can execute a query on the agents database. Results will be returned in the associated data control. To query the database press command button marked Query .
