Pumping Machines and Fuel Tanks



In any petrol pumps there are several fuel pumping machines which are connected to one or more type of tanks. The settings for these pumps, and tanks are defined through this menu. Here in the default data pumping machines and tanks are already defined. You have to alter them as per your requirements. Each pump or tank can be of Diesel or Petrol or another fuel type like CNG. You have to number or name and fuels and tanks and use these names when you enter pump readings. Therefore a name or number is permanently associated with a tank. First fuels should be defined then tanks and lastly pumps should be defined.

To define Fuel Pumping Machines first you should define all fuel products in the Product Record. For example fuel products can be Petrol, Premium Petrol, Diesel or High Speed Diesel. When you define fuel product define the fuel type also, that is, Diesel or Petrol.

Having defined the products you can associate a fuel product with a fuel pumping machine. Press command Add New to add a fuel pump or give command Edit Record to alter the existing one. You have to give a convenient name or number to the fuel pumping machine, define the product for it and you have to also specify the tank name/number to which this pumping machine is connected. To save the record press command button with caption Save Record. To edit a record press command button marked Edit Record. To edit a record press command button marked Delete Record.

Each fuel tank can be either of diesel or petrol and a fuel tank may be connected to one or more pumps. Here you should number all your tanks and enter in the tank list. You must remember these numbers or names associated with each tank. Also the fuel type for the tank must be defined. To add a new record add command button marked Add New. To edit a record press command button marked Edit Record. To edit a record press command button marked Delete Record.

Fuel types are mostly Diesel and Petrol. There are many varieties of diesel and petrol. For example both normal petrol and premium petrol shall have fuel type petrol. Fuels are defined with other products in the product record and you have to select a fuel type for each fuel product. There can another fuel type like CNG that can be dispensed from a pump. To add a fuel type just type it in the grid.
