Dip Chart Entry

Dip Chart is used for a tank to measure the contents of the tank in liters by taking a dip reading in the tank. As the dip chart is made specifically for the tank dip fill reading can be used to measure liters of contents in the tank.
Hence the physical stock in the tank can be measured by dip and then it can be compared to the in-stock quantity of the product as shown in the product record. If the quantity in tank is less then it can be attributed to evaporation loss.
Dip Chart entry is two step process. (1) you have to enter the dip chart in the DB grid below. (2) Once the dip chart entry is complete you have to copy it to a tank.
You have to get the dip chart for your tank and enter it in the program. Press command button marked NEW to create a new dip chart. The DB grid below is cleared so that you can enter new chart. Enter Dip Fill Reading and corresponding liters in the two fields in the data grid. You have to also specify the tanks calibration dia and length Once the complete chart is entered select the tank name where you want to copy it as in (2). After selecting the tank name press command button marked Save Dip Chart Data to save to the selected tank. Similarly if the other tanks have same dimensions then you can save the same chart to other tanks.
If you want to get a dip chart already saved for a tank press command button marked Get Dip Chart Data. The dip chart for that tank shall be given below in the data grid. You can copy to the another tank as explained above.
This dip chart shall be used by the program to calculate stock in the tank while recording dip entry and making evaporation loss voucher. See this topic for more help:
